Digital Planner vs. Paper Planner

Have you ever struggled with what type of calendar to use?

I have used every type known to man. Palm Pilots, Pocket PC’s and Outlook were my electronic versions. Monthly, weekly, and daily calenders in all different sizes were my paper versions. I think I have finally hit upon a system that is working for me but it is still in the testing phase.

Julie Bonner at Declutter It! offers some things to consider when purchasing a planner. Wondering if a paper or electronic version is right for you? Julie has some pertinent questions that you should ask yourself before you buy.

UPDATE: It is now truly the electronic age and there are so many things to consider when choosing a digital planner – check out these considerations before you buy.

I still struggle—after trying numerous ways to keep track of our busy schedule—to find the perfect way to organize my life. My husband would like me to go the digital planner route, he bought me a palm pilot about 2 yrs ago and i rarely use it and now he’s set us up a calendar on google, so that he can keep track of the many kid/family/mom activities. I’m trying my best to fill that in but it is not quite a habit yet. I am definitely a paper planner,
i’ve got a main calendar and then make tons of lists (which i often lose). I think if i could get used to using the palm pilot that could be a really effective tool and i would save alot of wasted time.

Patty,
I go back and forth between paper and electronic. Usually, I end up with some combination of both which is less than ideal. I am always searching for the answer and will let you know when I discover it!
