FYI - the
United State Postal Service (USPS) will increase rates on all classes of mail except periodicals on Monday May 14, 2007.
For most of us, that means that the cost of a stamp for a 1 ounce piece of first class mail will cost 2 cents more. The current rate is 39 cents and the new rate will be 41 cents.
To avoid lines at the post office you may want to buy your 41 cent stamps now. You can also get 2 cent stamps to add to any of your leftover .39’s.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that
A Mom’s Life was recently reviewed by Simonne Matthew on
All Tips and Tricks.
On All Tips and Tricks Simonne blogs about a large variety of interesting topics. From hosting a blog carnival on cats, to tutorials on using macros in MS Excel, to SEO and blogging, Simonnes blog is wonderful resource that provides a wealth of knowledge. I will be spending some serious time perusing her many posts.
Of course, my favorite feature about the All Tips and Tricks blog is the Rolling Blogroll. Most bloggers have a Blogroll in the sidebar of our blogs. This is basically a list of links to other blogs we like. Simonnes theory, and I must agree, is that people are more likely to click on a link to another site if it is listed - and talked about - in a post. So, on a regular basis, she writes a post that reviews a blog she finds to be interesting.
I was fortunate to be included in the All Tips and Tricks Rolling Blogroll. Thank you Simonne for such an in-depth and thorough review of my site!

Now that spring sports have started, my kids and I spend a lot of time in our family minivan traveling from one activity to another.
My minivan has become a home away from home of sorts. I have learned that I must keep it well stocked so that everyone will remain happy.
The Top 5 things I must have in my Minivan are:
- Food
Snacks, snacks, and more snacks
Because - full kids are happy kids. (One good choice is Cheerios Snack Mix - a healthier alternative than some of the other grab and go snacks)
- Drinks
Water, juice, and Gatorade
Because - hydrated kids are healthy kids.
- Clean Up Stuff
Wet wipes, paper towels, anti-bacterial hand cleaner, and several empty plastic grocery bags for garbage
Because - clean kids and cars make for happy mommies.
- Sweatshirts and extra t-shirts
Because - warm and dry kids tend not to complain as much.
- Stroller
Because - preschoolers don’t always want to walk or stay put.
This Top 5 post has been submitted to the Top 5 - Group Writing Project at Problogger.net.
Thank you, Darren, for running the project - what a wonderful opportunity to network with other bloggers!
