Fizzix Fizzy Yogurt Snack by Yoplait

Recently Yoplait sent me a free sample of a new product - Fizzix - Fizzy Yogurt Snack by Yoplait (the makers of GoGurt).
Fizzix is a new twist on an old favorite. Many of you are familiar with GoGurt (yogurt in tubes) that is a modern day lunchbox staple. Fizzix is also yogurt in tubes but it packs a new secret ingredient - carbonation. If your kids like soda or pop rocks, this is sure to be a hit. Think - fizzy yogurt.
The carbonation adds some unexpected fizz to the yogurt. It is a taste that reminds me of a cherry cream soda or ice cream float.
My family loves it. When I first offered my kids the Fizzix, I just told them that it was a new kind of yogurt. They assumed it was a new flavor. When they tried and experienced the fizzy taste, their eyes widened with surprise. I took a box out to a neighborhood block party and many of the kids there had the same reaction. And yes, the overwhelming response was - “Yum!”.
We also froze a box of this yogurt novelty. And while we also like it frozen, the fizziness is not as pronounced.
You may think that Fizzix is for kids, but I have to say that my husband and I both like it too. Perhaps they should make a cup version for grown ups.
Fizzix comes in boxes containing the following flavors:
- Blue Raspberry Rage/ Strawberry Watermelon Rush
- Wild Cherry Zing/ Strawberry Lemonade Jolt
- Triple Berry Fusion/ Fruit Punch Charge
Fizzix is now shipping. Keep an eye out for it in the dairy section of a supermarket near you.

Fizzy yogourt, you say? My first reaction was to be totally repulsed… but now I’m remembering the root beer floats we used to make, and using frozen yogourt when we ran out of ice cream… hmm, intriguing!

One of the little girls where I work had this today…it was the first time I had seen it! Now I’m a bit anxious to try it…and a bit disgusted at the same time by the thought of fizzy yogurt!!!

Jen and Beth,
Really this is quite good. The fizz is a bit of a surprise. Our favorite was the cherry flavor.

I am really excited to read your comments about Fizzix! My dad is the inventor of this awesome product. I love this yogurt and my 10 month old son is addicted. I’m glad to hear that non-biased people out there love it as much as I do! Thanks for trying something new and spread the word!!

Wow, Charlotte, it is an honor to have you stop by! My family really enjoyed taste testing Fizzix. We love it and cannot wait until it finds its way to grocery stores near us.

I really appreciate you taking the time to talk about my dad’s brainchild on your website. He’s been working on it for over 20 years and I’m so proud of him. I have seen it in Wal-Mart and lots of other grocery stores now. It’s usually right next to the regular gogurt. Thanks again for your positive review!

Does anyone know where I can purchase Fizzix?

Derek,
Our local Stop & Shop has been carrying Fizzix yogurt for quite some time now. Check the dairy case where the G0-Gurt is stored. If it is not there, ask the manager - maybe they can get it.
