What is your least favorite thing about the holidays?

What do all you parents dislike most about the holidays?

Not to be Scrooge or anything - but I hate wrapping presents. It just takes too long.

Maybe next year I will shop only at stores that wrap. But usually the sales people are so overwhelmed that it takes forever anyway.

So now, I am exhausted after my marathon wrapping session, my kids have watched too much tv, and I really wanted to bake some cookies.

Looks like tomorrow is baking day.

I’m the exact opposite. I love to wrap presents! My husband works with a lot of guys. I offer my wrapping services every year and am disappointed that no one’s taken me up on my offer. Good luck with the baking!

    Donna,
Now that is an offer I would not refuse! Have a wonderful holiday!

Lets see I think its the shopping for gifts now that is one thing I could do with out. DH did most of it this year :) So I got out of it.

    Tamara,
I think I spoke too soon when I wrote this post. As the holidays come to an end, I am realizing that my least favorite thing is taking the decorations down and packing them away!

The thing I hate most is that there is too much emphasis on sugary foods, candy, and so-called treats. As a parent of 3 boys, my kids eat enough junk that the last thing they need is a heap of sugar just because it is a holiday.

    Lainey,
I agree with you on that one. Sugar just seems to sneak into the house no matter how much you try to keep it out. When I was a kid sugar was nowhere as common as it is today.
