Lauderdale to be very family friendly. Years ago, it was thought of as a "party" beach. Now, it's back into family territory. There is an area just south of Ft. Lauderdale Beach called Hollywood Beach. This is a nice stretch of sand. There is a boardwalk with various restaurants, shops, and hotels. My family enjoys this beach. I have found Ft.
