I was looking for a free document scanning software on the Internet. I had used Textbridge for the past 8 years with many versions of Windows OS and I was not willing to buy another expensive scanning software any more. Then I found some interesting ones online, like Free OCR, etc. Though not as good as commercial OCR softwares, they did produce promising results to me.

Julie,
That is a great idea! I am constantly discovering new ways to use Evernote to simplify my life. One of the hardest things is remembering to use it. I still make little paper notes everywhere and then hit myself on the head for not using Evernote when I am out and about without my forgotten "cheatsheets".

I also love evernote for my recipes. However, instead of scanning recipes, I simply take a picture. Evernote can still recognize text and it goes much faster than my ancient scanner.
