All moms have most likely attempted some type of scrapbooking project. Some people are able to create beautiful works of art. Others, like me, may either be a bit artistically challenged or are not interested in putting the time and energy into creating these beautiful books.
But I still need some parenting help on what to do with all of those pictures. And I do love the way a finished scrapbook looks. Knowing the way my mind works – I would much rather work on the computer – I tried my hand at digital scrapbooking. But this too was tedious. I was able to find beautiful backgrounds, embellishments, frames, and everything else needed to create a professional looking page. But putting it all together was the hard part. Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements are powerful, but not easy programs to learn. I am able to stumble my way through to fix up a single picture but creating page after page after page translates into a big time commitment.
So where am I going with all of this?
Well, I just discovered a site that just may be the answer that I have been looking for. It is called ScrapBlog.com. And it is free.
ScrapBlog has tons of predefined templates. Just drop your pictures into the placeholders – easy! Or you can get really creative and start with a blank page. There are tons of backgrounds and elements to choose from. When it comes to sharing pages Scrapblog gives the option to offer your pages to the public or keep them private. You can invite people to view your pages or easily add them to a blog or social networking site like facebook or flickr. I like the option to order my prints or download jpgs of my creations directly to my computer.
The ease and flexibility of ScrapBlog has really impressed me. What do you think?

This is great! I can’t wait to really sit down and start creating.
I love scrapbooking but it really takes a lot of my time. I tried to make a scrapbook for my daughter and now it is still unfinished. Thanks for sharing that site. I will definitely check it out.
Nilam – I too am itching to get started!
Crafty Mom – Traditional scrapbooking and even digital scrapbooking is very time consuming. The results are great but so is the effort. Hopefully this site is the answer!
