I started this site four years ago – it was my first attempt at the internet. I wanted to start a business – so I started a blog.
I really had no idea what I was doing.
Since my kids were small, I started writing about things that were of interest to me as a mom – this site was first called A Mom’s Life.
But people were not exactly searching for what I was writing about – and so my traffic was just barely a trickle.
So I kind of stopped writing, I mean if no one was reading ….
Then I had the bright idea to give my blog a topic – hmmm – parenting tips, there’s a good one.
But the problem was that I could probably use more parenting advice than I had available to give. My friends might say that I am being a bit hard on myself – but my kids might tell you a different story (depending on the day, and the kid).
Well, my traffic went up, but my heart wasn’t in it – so I stopped writing – again.
So then, I handed the site over to a few guest posters. I figured they could use the screen real estate to further their own sites (see the last few posts – Gift Worthy Baby Socks – yikes!). But that didn’t sit well with me either.
It seems that I have now come full circle. I am reclaiming this space to write about whatever the h*ll that I want to. All the keyword gurus can laugh at meĀ – yes, I can hear you chortling all the way to the bank. As for the millions of dollars that I wanted to make from this site – well, I will find another way.
And for all of the readers that stuck with me through this transformation – I thank you, and for those new here – I hope to see you more often.
