September 2010

Texting is a big part of a teen’s life these days.

There are days when there is a constant buzzing noise emanating from my son’s pocket. Just a constant barrage of text messages. I take a look at these from time to time – and usually the texts consist of one to two words – and often the message contained within is indecipherable. It is a language in and of it’s own. Perhaps they should add Text to the foreign languages being offered in high school – but, oh yeah, the kids already speak that, it’s us parents who need the course!

As part of the LG TextEd Ambassador program – a selection of ladies have written about their insights on Teen Text Lingo – read about it here.

And please be sure to leave a comment on their posts at BlogHer.com (use the above link) – 50 cents will be donated to the DoSomething.org charity for every comment received (up to $5000).

I was cruisin’ around BlogFrog this morning – and I came across a problem. A problem that other bloggers are experiencing and something that I have also been through. It has to do with giveaways. Since I’ve been writing a little mini series on blogging this week – I am jumping into Mama Kat’s writing workshop at the last minute to answer the question – What does blogging mean to me. I started blogging a little over 4 years ago and have struggled, at times, to keep up with it. [...]
