Ideas for High School Graduation Gifts
Spring fever has settled in – especially for those kids who are heading off to college in the fall.
And for those of us who know a grad that is passing this milestone – it is time to hit the mall to but them a gift they will use and appreciate.
I know – the easiest thing is to write a check.
And a responsible young adult should save be able to save that money and buy what he or she really needs.
But sometimes, a little more direction than carté blanche is a good idea.

Kids these days – they need technology – and the stuff that goes with.
1. Computer (ok – I am partial to Macs)
2. Printer
3. Portable scanner (yup – Fujitsu is my favorite in this category)
4. Laptop Sleeve – this one is my favorite (yes, I have one) because it is made of memory foam which seems a bit more sturdy than standard neoprene.
5. Laptop lock (important and often overlooked)
6. Bluetooth Mouse
7. ipod or iPhone
8. Kindle or Nook
9. iPad
10. Noise cancelling headphones
Software
All that hardware is just begging for some new software. The easiest thing – an iTunes gift card – but if you have a particular app in mind, you can gift that directly as well.

13. To Do List Apps – Omnifocus or Things
14. Mental Case for Mac (excellent app for organizing notes and flash cards)
Dorm Life
Setting up an independent life requires a few comforts and necesseties

16. Loud alarm clock (so mom doesn’t have to call in every morning
