iPod Touch as PDA

If you use an Apple PDA (aka iPod Touch as PDA or iPhone), you are probably eagerly awaiting the launch of the iPhone 3G on Friday.

I know I am.

No, I’m not going to be one of the masses that will be in line at the Apple Store Friday morning (although I would love to be). I will certainly be watching the world’s reaction to this new Apple technology. And I will explore how this device can make life easier if not more fun. And I will weigh the pros and the cons. I will analyze and basically bide my time until my contract with my current carrier runs out.

Will I get an iPhone 3G then? Maybe.

What I want to know is how many people with the “old” iPhone – just slightly over 1 year old at that, will be tossing this novel Apple PDA away and replacing it with a new 3G version? Is technology really that disposable?
